With the support of the Tacoma Youth Lacrosse Association, Lake Tapps Lacrosse was established in 2005 with one middle-school level team of 23 boys. By 2008, the program grew to support 100 athletes on five teams ranging in age from third grade to high school.
In 2009, the Lake Tapps Lacrosse Club (LTLC) was formed to teach, govern and promote the sport of lacrosse in Lake Tapps and the surrounding areas, including Auburn, Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake and Sumner. LTLC’s mission is to emphasize the development of skills, self-esteem, good sportsmanship, fitness and teamwork through the sport of lacrosse.
LTLC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a board of directors elected by the membership.
In 2010, LTLC plans to continue the growth of lacrosse in our area by adding a middle school girl’s team.
